Get ready, because BIG things are coming…

It’s all systems go at Logan Together HQ, with the backbone team and project action groups making real strides towards change for Logan families.

We’ve seen exciting things from the maternity project group in recent months, with members (pictured below) recently visiting the Royal Brisbane Hospital’s maternity unit to gain a deeper understanding of their model of care, and patients’ connection with the health and support system pre and post birth.

The group came back with rich feedback to inform their proposal for a new approach to maternity services in Logan, which they’ll take to the Cross Sector Leadership Table on 12 August. They’re currently looking at 5 sites around Logan to house community-based pre and post birth support services integrated with ante-natal education, parenting support, playgroups and other social connection opportunities.
