Matthew and Lesley’s excellent (Collective Impact) adventure

MaRS

Logan Together Director, Matthew Cox, and Griffith University’s Pro Vice Chancellor and Head of Logan Campus, Professor Lesley Chenoweth, are currently on a whirlwind tour of some of North America’s most successful Collective Impact and city development programs.

The trip is a unique opportunity to learn from decades of experience of Collective Impact in practice, with over 20 projects meetings and site visits across seven cities included on the busy schedule.

So far the trip has taken them to New York to visit Harlem Children’s Zone and Breaking Ground; Columbus Ohio to explore the ground-braking work the city is doing in transport and city development; Cincinnati’s renowned Strive partnership; and Boston to explore the Community Innovation Collaborative – arguably the largest tech start up incubator in the world.

For part of the trip, Lesley and Matthew have been joined by Mayor Luke Smith and a Logan City Council delegation who are on a trade and investment visit.
