So much news!

It’s just days away from Logan Get Together and the excitement is building. With the event now at capacity and a waiting list open, it’s clear this is going to be one of the most significant events of its kind.

The speaker line-up has attracted representatives from local, state and federal government, major social program funders, academics and a diverse range of local service providers – and it’s easy to see why.

Professor Sharon Goldfeld will present one of the keynotes focussing on solutions for transforming life trajectories for children born into disadvantage. Sharon will be asking how we can deliver on the promise of early childhood for so many children living in disadvantaged circumstances which lead to developmental inequities and differential outcomes that are unjust, unnecessary, and preventable.

Our second keynote will be from the renowned community engagement and empowerment juggernaut Richard Harwood. Richard will join us live via video link to share insights into his unique community listening approach which ultimately sees him fight for a different kind of public life and politics – one where we see and hear all people, move towards shared responsibility, and make hope real.

And if these two outstanding keynote sessions aren’t enough, the program includes breakout sessions with sector and industry experts on topics close to our heart – combining early education with health and social supports, the secret to creating a successful social marketing campaign and the results and experiences gleaned from collective impact projects across the country.

Attendees will also get up close and personal with people changing lives right here in Logan with 18 table talks with local game changers making a collective impact in our city.

Logan Together Director Matthew Cox will lead Logan City Mayor Luke Smith; Minister for Communities, Women and Youth, Minister for Child Safety and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence and Member for Waterford Shannon Fentiman and Federal Member for Forde Bert van Manen in a question and answer session on the commitment and vision of three levels of government in supporting collective impact in Logan.

The afternoon session will see Big Hitters talk about the Big Picture – decision makers, policy advisers and experts from across Australia will come together to discuss social investment reform.

While tickets may have sold out, a waiting list is in place and tickets will be re-delegated as they become available. If you have already registered but can no longer attend, please contact us so we can re-issue your ticket. To keep up to date on any further conference news make sure you keep an eye on the Logan Together website.
