It’s Back – The Logan Get Together! From 6pm Thursday 5 September through to the event proper all day Friday 6 September, be part of some great conversations, connections and celebration!
On the evening of the 5 September (6pm) we are hosting a complimentary screening of the powerful Adam Goodes documentary The Final Quarter, followed by a Q&A discussion. You can register for this here.
The event proper is on Friday the 6 September, again at the Logan Entertainment Centre. We have some fabulous speakers and sessions planned. Some of the headlines include:
- Scott Gilmour (NZ) from the I Have a Dream project – an initiative that originated in the USA and has since rolled out in New Zealand and successfully nurtured and supported the dreams of more than 700 Kiwi kids;
- Dr Chris Sarra, Founder and Chair of the Stronger Smarter Institute, Director General of the Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships;
- Professor Megan Davis, Pro Vice Chancellor UNSW (Sydney), contributor to the Uluru Statement from the Heart and originally, a Logan local; and
- Lots of local projects, people and passion.
This is our chance to hold the light up to what’s happening in Logan – the good and the great, as well as exploring the areas we need to turn our focus to as we traverse the roadmap of intergenerational opportunity.
You’ll join mums and dads, the quiet leaders, the doers, the planners, the dreamers and the visionaries, plus the content experts, the champions and everyone in between. The only requirement for entry is that you want the best for kids in our community.
Please REGISTER AT THIS LINK and reserve the date: 6 September 2019; Logan Entertainment Centre; Logan; Queensland.
Also part of the Logan Get Together is a screening of the powerful documentary The Final Quarter – being held on 5 September from 6pm. This will be followed by a facilitated question and answer session. Register for your free ticket here.
