Ready To Have Kids: What’s Important
Doing best by our kids starts with the mums and dads of the future.
Education and employment for parents and carers has, on average, a direct relationship with how well their kids do at school and in life. Some studies have even shown a strong relationship between mum’s education level and the life expectancy of her children. Family income is also really important. Money problems drive stress and many other problems besides. Having kids very young is also often a hard road – both for parents and kids.
Working with young people and parents-to-be on these issues isn’t just important for supporting the adults’ aspirations – it has a big impact on the life chances of their kids.
