On Track at 8: What’s Important
Doing well at school is a partnership between families, educators and the community
Starting school is a major milestone for all kids, so families, early learning services and schools all need to work together to make sure the transition to school is a good one. There’s a direct relationship between how regularly kids attend school and how well they do – so every day counts. The home learning environment has a big impact on performance at school – as does catering for kids with different learning needs, so everyone has a role to play in school success. There’s lots of evidence that broad social and emotional wellbeing impacts all facets of kids’s development, so we are giving that lots of focus.
