Collective Impact Journey

From listening to action, explore how community voice, data and shared priorities guide Logan Together’s work with children and families.

How Logan Together works

Logan Together listens to community and turns shared priorities into collective action.
Through initiatives like 1000 Voices and Splash!, community members shared what they want for children and families in Logan. These priorities were brought together into the Logan Together Roadmap – a community-owned plan that sets out what success looks like for Logan’s children and how progress will be measured over time.

1000 Voices

Listening to our community - 1000 Voices

We collected the voices of Logan using the 1000 Voices approach.
Parents, carers, young people and community members shared their hopes, experiences and priorities for children growing up in Logan.
These voices helped us understand what matters most for children and families in our community.

Voice and Data

Bringing voice and data together

We analysed what we heard from the community alongside existing population and service data about life for children and families in Logan.

This helped us understand where children are doing well, where challenges exist and where change could make the biggest difference.

The voices were also analysed against the ARACY Nest domains, which describe the wellbeing outcome that children need to thrive.

Logan's Collective Plan

Building Logan's Collective plan

We brought community voice and data together at a large community event called Splash!

At Splash! more than 600 community members, service providers, government representatives and partners registered to be part of the conversation, helping align insights and identify priorities for the Logan community.

Together, we defined:

  • what we want the focus on Logan’s children to look like.
  • what it will look like when we are achieving these outcomes.

These became our shared priorities and signs of success.

The Roadmap

Translating the plan into the Roadmap

Logan’s Collective Plan captures the priorities identified by the Logan community.

The Logan Together Roadmap then sets out how we measure progress towards these priorities and the outcomes we want to see for children.

The Roadmap brings together:

  • our community priorities.
  • the outcomes we want to see for Logan’s children.
  • the indicators used to track progress and signs of success.

It highlights where information is captured across the life course of children and how progress is measured across broader, whole-of-system areas.

Guiding Direction

Aligning action across Logan

The Roadmap sets a clear and shared direction for the Logan Together movement, shaping how partners collaborate to improve outcomes for children and families over time.

Community organisations, government, philanthropy and services align their work around these priorities to enable coordinated, system-wide change.

Progress and Learning

Tracking Progress and Learning

Progress is tracked using shared indicators and community data.
This helps the Logan Together movement understand what is working, where more work is needed and how we can adapt our efforts to support better outcomes for Logan’s children.

Turning the Plan into Action – The Roadmap

We are now using the Roadmap to guide our actions and track progress across the community system. This ensures initiatives are happening, measures their impact, and helps us continue learning and improving.
