Workshop 4: Getting ready for implementation in community

We came together one final time, where we could feel children were at the heart – rainbows on the floor, a campfire in the corner, coloured picnic rugs where reading and play could happen, building blocks on tables and joy everywhere! Marnie from Logan Libraries Acknowledged Country by centring the lives and experiences of First Nations children.

We embraced our own inner children with a game of ‘this or that’ where we learned whether our friends would prefer to join us on a tropical island or live in the snow. We grappled with balancing the seesaw of inspiring Golden Insights and practical parts of implementation. We learned what was hiding in the Silver Bucket and added our own contributions to it. We ended our time together with a celebration dance and feelings of joy and accomplishment that we had created the Feel Good Futures Package of Local Solutions!
