Shared Decision-Making in Community

The Shared Decision-Making Wheel will guide us to a strategic, fully integrated, holistic model, co-designed with community.

The Shared Decision-Making Wheel recognises that children don’t grow and develop in isolation. To support a child, we also need to consider the family around them, the community they live in, the services and organisations they interact with, and the broader systems that shape their lives. The ecosystem helps us look at an issue from each of these perspectives, recognising that meaningful and lasting change often requires action across more than one part of the system. As you move through the wheel, consider what each step means for the child, family, community, organisations and broader system – and where different people need to work together to create change.
